Hosting

This site is served via Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.). When you visit a page, Cloudflare processes technical connection data (IP address, browser type, time of request) in server logs to deliver the site securely. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, stable operation).

Google Analytics 4

Only if you consent via the cookie banner, this site uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics sets cookies (e.g. _ga, stored for up to 2 years) to measure how visitors use the site: pages viewed, traffic source, approximate location, device type.

Legal basis for the storage of and access to information on your device is your consent under §25(1) TDDDG; legal basis for the subsequent processing of personal data is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal (Art. 7(3) GDPR).

Local storage

Your cookie choice (accepted or declined) is saved in your browser's local storage. This is strictly necessary to remember your decision and is permitted without consent under §25(2) No. 2 TDDDG. Your theme preference (light/dark) is stored the same way.

If you subscribe to my newsletter, I use your email address to send you occasional emails about AI search, SEO, and new free tools. Legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future via the unsubscribe link in every email.

Signup uses double opt-in: after submitting the form you receive a confirmation email, and only after clicking the link in it are you subscribed. To document your consent, the signup and confirmation timestamps and IP addresses are logged (Art. 6(1)(c) and 7(1) GDPR). These records are kept for up to three years after you unsubscribe.

The newsletter is sent via MailerLite (UAB "MailerLite", J. Basanaviciaus 9, Vilnius, Lithuania), which processes your data on EU servers under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). Newsletter emails contain a tracking pixel that measures whether an email was opened and which links were clicked; this measurement is covered by your signup consent. After you unsubscribe, your address is removed from the mailing list; it may be kept on a suppression list (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) solely to honor your opt-out.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and objection (Art. 21). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
